The Chamber Philosophick was set up to investigate and understand the mechanics of the multiverse: what is it? Where did it come from and how does it work?
The chamber continues in it’s tendency to look for rational or mechanical explanations for phenomena and this continued mindset still brings the Chamber Philosophick into conflict with it’s sister chambers Arcane and Ascendant. More recently, there have been suggestions of ominous rumbling within the Chamber Ascendant whenever the Chamber Philosophick is mentioned.

- The Great Gates-by: Recently, the Chamber has become obsessed with deciphering the hieroglyphics on the Great Gate and has thrown a large number of its most respected Luuzian Fellows at the task. Rumours abound but one can only assume that, now all ties have been severed with the Cazians (or True Cazians as they are now calling themselves), the programme has been accelerated in the hope of getting the gate working and finding new trading partners.
- Not so Holow: For some reason the Chamber has turned the telescopes of its magnificent observatory toward the region of the multiverse known as the Hollow. Why the chamber is interested in a region of nothingness is anyone’s guess but those in the know claim that the Chamber believes that the alignment of the planes nearest to the Hollow suggest that something may once have existed here.
- Corrupting Influence: The Chamber seems particularly interested in Corrupting and the corruption of planes and peoples by daemonkind. Again, one can only assume this is tied to the fate of the Cazians.
