Descendants of the once-great ancient Sharmutian Imperium have survived into the modern era, though they have fallen to savagery or decadence.

Race Packages

  • Cruacha (Elves): these barbaric, and sometimes even savage, Elves are the primary descendants of Sharmut
  • Cocyta (Elves): long ago a colony of Sharmut turned to the worship of seductive Ysolde and fell into darkness. In the end, they out survived Sharmut and still exist in a distant hidden land, hampered by an ancient but weakening barrier that prevents them from leaving their bailiwicks. (Currently unavailable as a Player Character race).

Nations

  • Black Sands of Sharmut: Silizia; the wasted ruins of the lost Elven Imperium that once spanned the Realm. Only a hand ful of Cruacha survive in the wastes, a pathetic remnant of what once was.
  • Cocytius: Yondarius; land of the dark Cocyta, this is an unknown lost land beyond the ken of the civilized world...for now.
  • Calamshar: Civizia; a rare enclave of Cruach who have not entirely slid into barbarism, the Calamshari province of Borea is ruled over and occupied by Elves.
  • Cruaghar: Tropizia: a virulently savage enclave of fallen Elves.
  • Ecreasia: Tropizia: Cruacha living on three islands are subjugated tributaries of the Human nation of Ecreasia.
  • Samadatha Coast: Several relatively well off and peaceful tribes of Cruacha inhabit this region.
  • Tulloco: Scattered tribes of Cruacha adapted to desert life roam the deserts of Tulloco.
  • Weskell's Legion: A couple thousand Cruacha, mostly archers from Calamshar, serve in the Legion.

Languages

  • Sharmuta: the ancient and beautiful language of Sharmut. Also called "Old Elvish" by some scholars.
  • Cruach: a debased, clipped, and grossly simplified version of Sharmuta. Regional dialects vary widely in particulars, but the core architecture of the language survives.

Artifice

Ancient Sharmut had High Artifice verging into Advanced in some areas, and some relics of that bygone Imperium survive and still function in the modern day.

The Cocyta retain a great deal of this Artifice and have the understanding of a great many dangerous and wonderful things. They favor the former.

The Cruacha have for the most part slid far from their forebearers' lofty heights, and some Cruacha are entirely primitive.
